Well it turned out to be a C-1 rated tourney. Still pretty good!
Here's a peek at the results before they are posted on FRED:The Texas State University Fencing Club held the “Cleave and Leave” one-day Saber only fencing tournament at the Jowers Center in San Marcos on April 8, 2006. The name of the tournament comes from the fact that Sabre is the only weapon in fencing in which a touch can be made with the edge as well as with the point of the blade. Emilio Ybarra, of the Texas Fencing Academy in Austin, won the gold medal bout by besting David Olive, of the Fencing Association of Texas in San Marcos, by a score of 15-14. Both Ybarra and Olive are B-05 nationally rated Saber fencers, putting them in the top 2 or 3 percent of Saber fencers in the nation. Diego Soza, of the San Antonio Sports Foundation, and Adam Brewer, a B-06 rated Saber fencer, of the Sword Play at UTSA club, tied for third. Soza also earned his D-06 national ranking with his placement in the finals. Ray Sexton, of Round Rock, celebrated his 63rd birthday with a 5th place finish. Will Dalrymple, of Salle Pouj in San Antonio, took 6th. Chris Lin, of the Lone Star Fencing Center in San Antonio, ended up at 7th place. Texas States’ Nathanial Christian rounded out the final eight. For information about fencing in the San Marcos area visit: www.southtexasdivision.org.

Sorry, It's my fault for the delay! I've been helping Saberbobcat move and been away from the internet most of this week. Laptops don't work when some stupid drunk runs over the combined internet station for all of Robstown, TX!
Anyway, here are the final results from the "Cleave and Leave" on FRED:askfred.net/Results/results.php?tournament_id=1714
