I got this e-mail about referees for the Bobcat:
Hello Directors, I'm pleased to announce that plans for this year's Bobcat Open are well underway. Obviously this email is a request for your skills as certified Fencing Officials in helping TSFC hold an outstanding event. The Bobcat Open 06 will be held at Jowers Gym on the 16th & 17th of September. For events we've decided to start with Open Events in all weapons and then build upon that as more officials, resources, and fencers dedicate their time. All decisions about the schedule will be finalized by the 25th of next month. To compensate you all for your effort the Club is willing to offer: A directing Fee dependent on Rating $40/day for Directors rated 10 to 8 $50/day for those rated 7 to 6 $60/day for 5's and upwards A gas reparation for those traveling 50+ miles calculated at .20/mile And, of course, free breakfast & lunch Thank you all for your time. Please contact me with any questions concerning directing to me at will.cisler@gmail.com. Will Cisler Texas State Fencing Club

I have a couple of extra rooms with beds/fold-out couches if anyone wants to come down. First come, first served! I bought a huge old house and it's about a mile up the hill from the venue... and (since the remodel) there is plenty of hot water... and the coffee will always be fresh! PM me if you need a place to stay free. My fencing friends are always welcome! Kyle

It's a monster of a tourney so far but, Texas State's Amy Crawford did a beautiful job getting it all set up and running it and just - all - everything went really well! We're all cleaned up and ready again for tomorrow. I'm outta here. Gonna try and get in 4 hours tonight.
