11:30 AM Senior Mixed Sabre
At the conclusion of Mixed Sabre Team Sabre Events A new edition to SabreCave, by popular request!
**Please see below for important information about the Team Sabre events
*If 6 or more competitors are registered in each youth event they will be fenced separately, otherwise events will be combined and awards given to top placing fencers in each category.
**Two categories of teams may be registered: "Unrestricted" and "Restricted." Teams entered in the "Unrestricted" category may be composed of 3 fencers plus a substitute, with any combination of genders and ratings. Teams entered in the "Restricted" category may have a maximum of 1 "C" rated fencer of either gender (no "A" or "B" ratings) and the rest of the spots must be made up of "D" and under rated fencers, of either gender. If at least four teams are entered in both categories, the team event will be fenced as separate events. Otherwise a single event will be fenced with the awards being given to the separate categories based upon final placing. The format of the events will be decided based upon the number of teams entered, but will be constructed so that each team has at least two matches. Competitors are only able to fence on one team!
